Black plants

Black plants are in fact very dark shades of red, blue, purple and brown. There are no ‘true’ black plants in nature but even so, these striking plants do make a fantastic first impression, whether in your home or in your garden.

Black plants in particular often have names associated with the dark arts, the macabre and magic. Names such as ‘Old Black Magic’ (iris), ‘Edge of Night’ (lilies) and ‘Inky Fingers’ (Coleus) conjure up images of mystery, magic and superstition.
